I had been planning for years to building a new home for my family. I knew that I wanted my new construction to have the character of not only a custom home but that of an older home rich in family history, all while staying within my budget. I had inherited a smaller dresser with a mirror from my grandmother. While it was too small to be good storage, it was beautiful piece and needed a place of honor in my home. Tom listened to my ideas for converting the dresser into a sink for my guest bath and made suggestions. The result was more than I could have imagined! Not only did Tom do an excellent job on the workmanship he actually saved storage space in the dresser! My father was so proud of my repurpose of the dresser; he proudly told the history of where I got that unique, custom design. I can’t wait for the next project with Tom- that old gate is destined to be a great headboard.

I am just as excited about the plasma screen tv enclosure Tom built for me today as I was when he first completed the project. The reason being that whenever a new person walks into our family room, the first thing they notice and fall in love with is the work Tom did to frame our plasma screen tv over our fireplace. Our desire was to match the existing antique woodwork on the pulpit in material, color and style. We also specified that the rails be removable for special events, and that anchoring the posts would not alter the joists beneath the floor, yet be completely sturdy. Mr. Haas did a thorough job with design, matching, construction, and installation to meet all of our needs. Many people have commented that the new rails look like they’ve always been there.
